Teacher Bio

André Vander Velde is a local singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and music educator based in Council Bluffs, Iowa. As a performing musician with Jaguar James and the Dre Matthews Band, Andre brings real-world experience as a working musician into every lesson.

Andre is also the founder of Field Co Creative, a creative studio in Council Bluffs built around the belief that creativity grows through community, practice, and sharing what we learn with others. Teaching music has been an important part of Andre’s creative life for more than 10 years, and he works with all ages and loves helping musicians discover their own voice and develop a lifelong relationship with music.

Andre offers music lessons in Council Bluffs for students interested in guitar, voice, ukulele, bass, songwriting, and music production. Lessons can be tailored to a student’s age, experience, musical interests, and goals. This includes learning the basics and playing favorite songs to developing technique, writing original music, preparing for performances, or gaining experience with recording and music production.
